FORS is taking centre stage on the Road Transport Expo (RTX) knowledge zone in June, with a dedicated seminar session for FORS Accredited Operators to attend while visiting the truck industry’s bumper summer tradeshow.

The ‘FORS Focus’ session will bring together well-known operators and industry experts to explore key themes such as fleet decarbonisation, compliance and training. The event is a great opportunity for operators and for all other visitors looking to find out more about the benefits of joining the scheme.

Now in its fourth year, RTX is set to welcome thousands of visitors from across the road transport sector to NAEC Stoneleigh in Warwickshire, from 24-26 June, where it will deliver its unique blend of business-to-business trade show and relaxed, informal networking.

The ‘FORS Focus’ session will be led by FORS Concession Director Geraint Davies, who will be kicking it off with a ‘Version 7 Masterclass’ to bring operators up to speed and help debunk any myths around the new standard, launched in January this year.

This will be followed by a lively panel session exploring the challenges and actions taken to decarbonise the sector and an informative spotlight on training.

What’s RTX all about?

With an ‘All about the truck’ core focus, RTX is a must-attend show for anyone working in the road transport sector.

Whether it’s a family-owned haulage business, a major 3PL, a busy workshop, or a focus on safety and training, the event has something for everyone.

More than 300 exhibitors will be joining the line-up and record pre-show registrations are proving how the show has increased in popularity year after year, since its debut in 2022.

In the know

Back again at this year’s RTX will be an insightful, three-day conference programme, covering the key topics that matter to you; from fleet decarbonisation and new vehicle technology, through to legal spotlights and regulatory compliance.

On the popular knowledge zone stage, there will be a host of keynote speakers from the likes of the DVSA, the office of the traffic commissioner, DfT, Logistics UK, and much more. And, of course, the FORS Focus session that will be taking the lead on Thursday 26 June.

Meanwhile, in a new area developed for 2025, the new ‘Talking Point’ stage will feature panel discussions, fireside chats and the popular RTX ‘Big Debate’ series.

Give it a go

The RTX ride and drive will be running once again this year, enabling show-goers to get up-close and personal with the latest vehicle technology.

Visitors can take a drive themselves if an appropriate qualification is held, or ride as a passenger, and experience the latest trucks on a specially designed RTX test route.

As well as the latest generation of diesel trucks to choose from, there’s also the opportunity to experience battery-electric HGVs and low-carbon-fuelled vehicles.

Networking

One of the key features of RTX is its relaxed, informal atmosphere, despite remaining firmly focused on business.

Whether it’s strengthening relationships with existing clients, exploring potential partnerships, or simply exchanging ideas with peers who understand the industry’s many challenges, RTX is where those conversations happen.
